Hi Pat, Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. Yes I have been on RCH4 for 6 months now and haven't deteriorated. Unfortunately, my secretions haven't lessened but I am coping with them better now. I used to be self-conscious about using the suction pump in public but I don't care now. Apart from my Medela pump, I have a portable one which goes with me everywhere. I have tried everything but nothing works. I have a PALS friend who is going to have radiation treatment on the salivary glands so will wait and see whether it works for him. Jenny

Hi Pat. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We were at the VA for 2 days for annual eval. My husband is not on a trach. The Robinul works well and on the occasional "bad" day he will take 2 pills. His secretions on a scale of 1-10 are about a 4 and are worse when he is engrossed on computer projects or around mealtimes when he smells food cooking. Thanks for asking.
