Thanks everyone. I appreciate the kind words. I have written a memoir about the journey to remind me of how it all unfolded. I would recommend to any caregiver to do this along the way. It is easy to forget all that you have done to help and it is very satisfying to reread it over and over to reassure yourself that you did everything in your power to help your loved one. Especially if you start feeling the guilt, anger, and grief that all comes with the loss.

Now, my next mission is to help my Dad. (Mom and Dad were married 61 years). He is so lost right now.

Then......I am going to use resources to help others and help find a cure for ALS.
