Skate board tape of the 1 inch variety on top of a sand paint application works for our temporary ramps. to save on the quantity of tape used I applied the strips on a diagonal and left a few inches of space between them. That way the power chair doesn't have to be driven down the exact center.

$2 a roll of for 5 meters by 3 centimeter tape at IKEA.

Our ramp has roofing shingles nailed to it, we figured if it holds up to the snow on the roof it hould be ok for the ramp. Ours is still new only a few weeks under snow. I`ll let you know how it holds up.

i know the auto parts store here seals a roll on bedliner that i put in my truck its lasted years now and it's cheep

Roofing shingles did the trick for us, and held up -- our daughter had two separate year-long stints in a wheelchair and the shingles were cheap, effective, and impervious to the cold & snow. my husb just nailed two strips of them lengthwise down the ramp. good luck!
