My husband is getting a bipap, he is concerned I wont wake up at night when he needs me because he wont be able to yell for me. He can still make some movements with his foot, but not any other movements. Has anyone made anything like a bell he can knock or kick ? Or any advice at all that worked for you? I sleep in the same room with him, he sleeps in a recliner.

Thank you

If he goes with a nose mask or a nose pillow mask that won't be a problem.

He could use a chime or doorbell wired to a switch attached to the foot of his chair, for sure. But we tend to recommend trying a nasal mask first anyway, because it's less intrusive, easier to eat, talk, etc. with it on.

Would he be more comfortable in a hospital bed?

Best,
Laurie

We use a wireless door bell. I used a piece of velcro to attach it to my wife's wrist. She is still able to press the button when she needs me in the middle of the night. The chime is battery operated also so I can move it around the house when she is still in bed.
