I'm so sorry for your loss. My father too went really fast after diagnosis. It was hard not to have that extra time but good that he did not suffer.
 
So sorry for your loss. You are not alone. I have lost my father-in-law in 2008 to this beast. To add insult to injury, my only sister was also taken by it to in 2011 as well as a dear friend in 2012. I understand your pain. My friend had this beast for almost 10 years before it went into high gear. My father-in-law for two. My sister, for about a year. I pray every day that they can find something to halt in in its tracks, better yet a cure. My thoughts and prayers go out to you as you mourn the loss of your father. I took care of my sister and helped with my father-in-law. It isn't easy whether you care for they or whether distance separates you. Again, so sorry for your loss...
