I lurked here at the ALS forums for a long while and finally got the courage to ask a question maybe two weeks ago.

My Step-father Roger Mabra passed away last week. He didn't have but a month or two after diagnosis. I am glad he went to heaven before he lost any more than he did. He told Mom on that morning he was ready to go and I guess he stayed the couple of days before that from sheer determination.

I am missing him terribly but taking care of Mom now as I promised him I would.

For those struggling, I keep you close to my heart and in my prayers.

I'm sorry for your loss but happy it was not too drawn out. You are doing what you can and should be proud of yourself for doing it.

So sorry to hear about your loss. You sound like a wonderful loving daughter. It probally was a great sense of relief to your step-father to know he was leaving your mom in good hands. I will add your family to my prayers. Please keep all of us in yours as well. Kim

I am so sorry for your loss, but your attitude is wonderful.

Take good care of your mother, and of yourself

hugs
