  • Thank you, Kim. It is a comfort to hear from you, have no doubt. We've doubled my Lexapro, so I'm coping better, and we've dropped a couple more meds that Matt has been taking, so he seems more alert and responsive to me.
Glad to hear from you Kim. I think grief counseling is very helpful for many people. I have never been, but have many friends that do. I hope that everything works out for you--you are a sweet and lovely lady.
I will keep the twins in my thoughts and prayers Kim - I wish the best for you...

Hi Kim - just checked in today after several months. So sorry for the loss of your precious dad, but so glad that you got to be with him when he passed into a better existence. You've been a very loving daughter, and I hope that you are doing well. Really cool about the movie theater :) Hugs, Trina
Hi Kim, it's nice to hear from you. We lose so many friends here that it's wonderful when those who are still able to check in, do! At 81 your dad wasn't young, but he dealt with an unfairly difficult disease. I'm glad the grief support group is helping--you've had a very very difficult time with this. My mom is 84 and has Parkinson's. It's sad to see her mind going. I'm headed out to CA to visit her next month--leaving hubby with some combination of brother, sister-in-law, and daughters. I am so sorry to hear about the kidney stone...OUCH.

Are you doing for you these days? Have you found an outlet that brings joy?
Hi skipper, I thank you for your prayers and thoughts. I'm about at the end of the line now. I have spent the last week in a hospice house while my wife and daughter went to MD Anderson cancer clinic in Houston. My 19 year old daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor and brain cyst a few weeks ago.
Yesterday was our 21 st wedding anniversary and it is important for my wife to take me home and reminisce with me.
I think I will be checking back in here in a few weeks for the last time. It's getting very hard for me to breathe now and I've lost almost all use of my hands and am losing my legs.
We talked to hospice about lying down, taking off the breathing gear and they would give me morphine so I would die without distress. I suspect this will happen soon.
Please keep my daughter in your thoughts and I wish you all peace and recovery

    Hi
Had a great holidays with the kid and grandkids here, the house was crazy. Congrats on the dog, rescue dogs are the best, both of mine are. Understand completely what you are saying about walking the dogs in the rain. Not sure what is worse the cold for the rain/snow.

    Happy New Year
    Mike
Hi Kim - congrats on getting your beagle. They are wonderful dogs - but very stubborn. I'm without a pet right now. Had to put my cat down in Sept -- he was very sweet & affectionate; more like a dog than a cat. My sister has a little dog that she brings over. Chloe likes to lay in my lap while she's here - such a comfort! We welcomed our first great-grandchild over the holidays. Probably won't get to see her for many months - we are in Texas; they are in NC. Take good care - nice to hear from you. Dianne
    Hi Kim,
We had a very nice white Christmas. We also got a new puppy her name is Maddy,
She is a Cocker spaniel. She keeps me company when Rick is working. But she is a bit of a puppy brat. Remember live in the moment have a Happy New Year. And most of all "dance in your underpants"
