I have recently been told by a neurologist that I have some sort of genetic neuropathy so I'm not sure that this fourm is the correct place for me to post. Unfortunately I know of no others. He said there will be other Dr. and tests to be done, including cardiologist/heart, genetics doctor, referral to a special clinic out of province to see the "neurologist's neurologist" as he put it. I also need to see an orthopedics Dr.
All of these people together will be able to more identify the type of neuropathy and paths to take with it. These appointments I have been warned could take months and months. To give you a bit more insight I have had an MRI which shows atrophied muscle and tumour, also examined by two ortho speicalists, full neuro exam and both types (needle and surface) of EMG (?) tests.
I am interested in hearing any of your thoughts on all of this and information or direction you could offer would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
