  • Hi Ann,
I didn't log on yesterday, too busy getting my tax in order for the dreaded tax man today. We, i think are a bit different here re tax but it all ends up the same, paying money to the government.
Re Baclofen, i still are not getting enough, in my view. I have questioned if there is something not quiet right with it. i.e. the catheter has come off the pump or something. There is a dye test they can do to see where the Baclofen is going but they don't want to do it right now, just to see if i get better by increasing the dose. hopefully something will happen one way or the other soon.
Have a good Sunday night Ann
    cheers
    Peter
ok, how do we toss pebbles at his window? I'm game. Can't tell from my pic, but I'm not used to people looking at my face! :(
    Glad you liked both! :)
The red one was one of Barry's favorites, but he didn't take the bait. Hopefully he'll come out and play soon. (would rather I looked like the red one ;) )
Hi Ann, which avatar? I've been changing them lately. The red dress or the grey sweater?
Hi Ann, I can only get the deer about 10ft away from me. That seems to be as close as they will get. I might do better if I can start one young, but the mommy deer won't let them get close to me. I have one that is more trusting than the rest. I like it when she comes up. She will look at me, I will look back at her, and it seems to relax her some. I have a buck that will get close, but he gets a little spookier after he sheds his velvet. The mature bucks will not come out at all. They are real careful!

Ann! Yes we have water and everybody took showers and smell much better! No idea the cost but it wasn't something that we had time to "shop around".

One guest for breakfast this morning so Tim and I joined her. She was here with her fiance 8 years ago and he was a fellow who fell in love with the West. They are from SC and found this country to their liking. They were married 7 years ago and he got sick in 2006 - a brain tumor. He had radiation surgery and it infiltrated his good brain cells and killed him a year ago this week. She brought some of his ashes and is sprinkling them here (shh!) since he loved the Black Hills.

She and I sat at the table almost 3 hours as we shared stories and I related to her grief. She is a remarkable woman - in her mid 40's and will be ok, but right now the grief remains raw. I hope her stay with us helps heal some of the wounds - without opening some of mine.

Off to visit my mother when Tim gets home from his meeting! xxoo
Hi Ann, I hope to get in the woods. I really enjoy nature. We have tons of deer here too. I have been making friends with the yard deer here. They will actually come when I call then now. Its funny to see! I forget which state you live in...

Ok - today is one of those days that make me want to scream. Guests arriving this afternoon, Kathy is baking bedtime snacks, one of our RV guests works with an ALS group in Las Cruces, NM and he is making some adjustments on my power chair so I perfiodically have to sit in it and take a spin. :) However the most stressful thing is.... drum roll, please..... our well has stopped working so we have no water!! The pump is working and so is the pressure tank but at the bottom of the cistern there are broken galvanized pipes that have caused 10,000 gallons of water to be pumped directly into the cistern. Called the plumber at 7:30 this morning and still waiting!! Tim shut the power off to the pump so the water is no longer flooding the cistern and draining the well and used a sump pump to pump the water out... but problem is not solved. Grrrrr.
Hi Ann, I wanted to say hello and wish you a good clinic visit today. I know that the are exhausting for me so I hope you can get through it without wearing yourself out too much. I have been pretty tired lately so have been spending more time in bed trying to avoid the almost constant rain and cold in the last couple of weeks. Hoping for better weather tomorrow. Take care
    Barry
