Hi All,

I have had symptoms for over a year now, it started one day when I I noticed my gait was different. Symptoms have popped up since, some associated with ALS but some not, I think, but with no findings from the MRI scans and a shoulder shrug from the doctor I am looking elsewhere for peace of mind, as I do have anxiety and I am hyper aware of my body, so I am well aware of the fact that I may/most probably am using my enemy, my mind to make symptoms "worse" or "progress" I have given my official diagnosis below but I am mainly here to ask a couple questions from literature that I have read about ALS which will help me hopefully understand it more and then remove my anxiety driven focus away from my body. I appreciate the input and thank you for your time, I know this post may be outside the guidelines and topic of the forum, so admin please remove if in violation.

Diagnosis:
- Benign fasciculations.
- Migraine/ Migraine Aura without migraine pain

Questions:

- Weakness is mentioned to start in one or multiple limbs at a time and then progress and so on, this weakness, is it clinical weakness that you notice, or can it be mild weakness like still use your limbs but fatigue easier or not as strong as before?

- Are sensations a complete no for ALS or just very rare?

- ALS fasciculation, do they come and go or once they start, are they constant?

- Tongue fasciculations: again, once you get them are the sporadic and intermittent or constant?

- The only two symptoms I will give here is that all my movements are jittery, it feels like I have a socket wrench in place of joints, you can't see the jittery movements, but I can feel it and it is not localized, it is body wide.

It all started with a weird gait but then I got this tension achy feeling in my right (dominant) arm with a feeling of weakness (this is perceived as I still have strength, but this arm does tend to tire faster than my left arm and same goes for my right leg. This feeling of tension has progressed to my left arm as well.

now that I type this out it seems unlikely, but I will really appreciate any answers to my questions as it will help me greatly have more understanding.

Thank you again for your help and comments.

ALS weakness is clinical yes
sensory symptoms can happen in pals often due to poorly supported joints secondary to weakness. Sometimes there is another problem causing it. It is rare for sensory symptoms to occur outside these conditions. Not never because there are always exceptions but these people have other unmistakable signs of aLs which you don’t

twitches in als like benign twitches are different in different individuals ditto for tongue which are not different than anywhere else
