Coming here every morning is like going to an oasis to soak for my soul. Always
an interesting mix of wonderful writers. Seeing the universe reflect my inner
calm is inspiring. I have noticed that too, the more aware I am. I see why you
love Osho's words they are like music and very deeply moving.
Rumi always lights my heart, thank you. I am glad today to be back at work

"The Messiah In Disguise"

"High in the mountains was a monastery that had once been known throughout the world. Its monks were pious, its students were enthusiastic. The chants from the monastery’s chapel deeply touched the hearts of people who came there to pray and meditate.
But, something had changed. Fewer and fewer young men came to study there; fewer and fewer people came for spiritual nourishment. The monks who remained became disheartened and sad.
Deeply worried, the abbot of the monastery went off in search of an answer. Why had his monastery fallen on such hard times?
The abbot came to a guru, and he asked the master, “Is it because of some sin of ours that the monastery is no longer full of vitality?”
“Yes,” replied the master, “it is the sin of ignorance.”
“The sin of ignorance?” questioned the abbot. “Of what are we ignorant?”
The guru looked at the abbot for a long, long time, and then he said, “One of you is the messiah in disguise. But, you are all ignorant of this.” Then, the guru closed his eyes, and he was silent.
“The messiah?” thought the abbot. “The messiah is one of us? Who could it be? Could it be Brother Cook? Could it be Brother Treasurer? Could it be Brother Bell-Ringer? Could it be Brother Vegetable Grower?
“Which one? Which one? Every one of us has faults, failings, human defects. Isn’t the messiah supposed to be perfect? But, then, perhaps these faults and failings are part of his disguise. Which one? Which one?”
When the abbot returned to the monastery, he gathered all the monks together and told them what the guru had said.
“One of us? The messiah? Impossible!”
But, the master had spoken, and the master was never wrong.
“One of us? The messiah? Incredible! But, it must be so. Which one? Which one? That brother over there? That one? That one?”
Whichever one of the monks was the messiah, he was, surely, in disguise.
Not knowing who amongst them was the messiah, all the monks began treating each other with new respect. “You never know,” they thought, “he might be the one, so I had better deal with him kindly.”
It was not long before the monastery was filled with new found joy. Soon, new students came to learn, and people came from far and wide to be inspired by the chants of the kind, smiling monks.

I love the positive posts here, this thread is golden and so inspirational. I was
sitting here in the early morning the other day and something seemed to
brush by the Christmas tree and two ornaments moved, it felt special, like an
angel brushed by!
I love this time of year, and the intention to review my life and choose what to carry
forward, what to let go of, and what to be open to and allow. Every new day feels
like that and I am so grateful to the guidance and knowing that others are on this
path too.
Visited my dear friend yesterday and we spoke of our New Year's intentions of being
and living from our souls and not of the past. It was inspiring. Thoughts are so
powerful and I often need divine help to redirect, and I am ever grateful for that help!

The readings are so powerful today, I am in awe and read them twice. I
love the I AM wisdom and as I say it I feel a truer connection to my true
self.
This is so abundant and generous. I remember finding Kahil Gilbran's book
in my book case, it had been there for years. His words are moving...deep into
my soul. So often I would open his book, or other spiritual books and seem
to read exactly what I needed at that moment.
I am grateful this morning for the abundance of snow, a growing peace, the
blessing of a loving Chistmas, the blessings of second chances and of a new
appreciation for myself and others.

I give myself the gift of re~reading these posts and rediscovered the "Arise Awake..."
poem from several days ago, written by a truly deep soul! All of these writings really
flow together so beautifully...true soul food!
I look back on 2012 and the lessons, the blessings, the guidance. My deepest New Year
goal is for a deeper trust in God and with that, the peace and joys that flow. As Rilke's
wise words: "...love the questions themselves..."

This is going to be the best year yet 2012 was so much for me a lot of lessons to learn and a lot of letting go of the old baggage I no longer needed .. So out with the old and in with the New .... Let's wipe the slate clean .....Everything is in Divine Order we just have to Flow with all that is ...and * Trusting That * creating space for a new meaning in life to allow stillness ♥ .
Let there always be Peace Joy Love and Happiness in your hearts and let your Light shine from within to reflect it all .As the old energy moves out the new Loving Energy is filling us up and we are transferring attachments from the external world to the* Internal World *..
