Well the only good that's happening is Marie got some constipation relief but now her back is creating horrible pain.
That's just a mini update. The purpose of this post is to share Marie's EMG results. It means nothing to me so I wanted to see what the EMG reflects.

It shows acute and chronic denervation across multiple areas ( both lumbar and cervical so affecting legs and arms). This is what they look for in als. The complex repetitive discharges are unusual for als but I don’t think it means it isn’t als. What did her doctor say?

I am glad the constipation is better. Hope her back pain resolves soon

There is research suggesting that if there are two people with disk problems, and one has CRDs, that one may have more pressure on the nerves that control movement and sensation than the person without CRDs has. Her long-term knee problems may be also compromising her spine in that way, which may have magnified the effects of the partial fall.

Nikki - Are you ever so slightly suggesting that there are things that don't align with ALS?
I doubt that's the case but you at least provided me with a tiny glimmer of hope.
Ironically last night I found my attitude was very sad ... that may have been me knowing we aren't escaping this death sentence
Oh as for what our doctor said he didn't even mention it when we talked last Sunday.

No I didn’t mean that. Sorry. As Laurie said the crds might relate to her spine but unfortunately you can have multiple coexisting medical issues. You should, of course, go by what your doctor says

Well it was nice while it lasted
