Here are the results. Appreciate any insight. My only symptoms are mild twitching that started in June 2023.
Results:
Nerve conduction study of the bilateral lower extremity is without electrodiagnostic evidence for a
peripheral polyneuropathy.
2. Electromyography of the bilateral lower extremities and lumbar paraspinal muscles revealed active mild
denervation potentials in the bilateral L2-S1 myotomes suggestive of a possible muscular dystrophy
such as limb girdle muscle dystrophy. Further testing such as biopsy and genetic testing may be
necessary for a definitive diagnosis.
Results:
1) Mild bilateral Median sensory neuropathy across the wrist (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome).
2) Diffuse denervation potentials in the C5-8 myotomes.
The person doing the EMG was not a neurologist. I follow up with my neurologist next week.
