I believe your mom lives in Columbia, right? The thread I referenced is regarding NW South Carolina and I know Columbia is more towards the middle of the state. Still very interesting.

Hello Betsy!! I saw your post on the where I'm from. Your mom lives in Columbia? I used to live there. I went to school at USC - Columbia, and lived there for multiple years after school. My ex still lives there with his family. I lived in West Columbia for a while as well. Where abouts in Columbia is she? I am sorry about what your mom is going through. My mom was diagnosed with ALS Sept 2009, so I understand some of what the two of you are experiencing.
