Frustrations galore...

So much for pain relief and calm-me-downs...he refused the syringe driver when the nurses came back with the gear and the drugs, after agreeing to it three hours earlier in front of the GP, hospice nurse and the two DNs.. Another shattered hope that he might rest easy and I can get more than an hours sleep at a time.. Is that asking for too much? Five times between 2am until I gave up at 6.20am for no apparent reason other than wipe up two drips of wee that escaped after using the bottle, move the pressure cushion half an inch forwards...then half an inch back...and I understand twice because the duvet is now too heavy for him and he can't bend his legs up but please, once I was up with a coffee, he didn't ask for anything, not slipped in the seat, not too hot, or too cold, no cold feet, wee'd without dripping, pillows just right...I could go on and on...not one complaint that I snored (as he told everyone yesterday)... just AAARRRGGGHHH...if all he wants is company because he can't sleep then surely I can be forgiven for considering a night-sitter maybe twice a week... Right, on with the day, coming to install a hoist track thingy so just maybe, I can get him to go to bed..now he is dozing, little monkey... I toyed with trying to keep him awake all day so he may be exhausted by tonight and sleep himself, but that is exhausting in itself... Pity party over..there's always coffee...and biccies...to console me..and a sledgehammer for him..
