Life goes on (Poem)

Life goes on
Sitting here while the whole world rushes me by
I’m sitting here waiting my day and time to die
Wanting the whole world to stop maybe take note
But yet life ever passes me by, as fast as I quote
People are strange and most never even know
When someone dies unless former fame will show
The world ever goes on spinning round every day
Even though I’m dying I feel not one bit of dismay
Life is most precious, this point I ever drum home
Each day is but a gift we are merely granted on loan
Stop all the arguing and stop all the selfish greed
For on the day you die you will find you’ve no need
My family are loved but they too don’t understand
What it is to face surely death as if fate were planned
The drug addicts and drunkards they too have no clue
What point I make, what I try here to get through
Tell folk you love them and stop arguing and shouting
Lose all the anger all the hate, mistrust and doubting
Life has gave me a glimpse of what was meant it’s true
Change attitudes now as the next person could be you
The world simply moves on and no one takes note
No one even hears or heeds the words that I quote
Rush by a life time with each passing death and soul
One day man will stop fighting, and make love his goal
