Hunterdon Hospice

Hunterdon Hospice is a US-based hospice and palliative care organization located in Hunterdon, NJ.

Founded in 1979, Hunterdon Hospice is a non-profit organization providing physical, spiritual, psychosocial and bereavement support for persons with a life threatening illness in Hunterdon County and its continguous areas. We provide a quality service which focuses on promoting quality of life, and combines empathetic caring with clinical competence. We assure access to hospice services for all eligible persons regardless of diagnosis, age or financial circumstances. Hunterdon Hospice provides care by an interdisciplinary team of trained professionals including physicians, nurses, chaplain, physical and occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, home health aides and volunteers. The team members work together to plan and coordinate care. We consider the entire family, not just the patient in our plan of care. Patients and their loved ones are included in the decision-making process, and bereavement support is provided to the family after the death of their loved one. Hunterdon Hospice also offers an ongoing Bereavement Support Group for adults who have experienced the death of a loved one, as well as a Youth Art Therapy Bereavement Program to help children ages 5 to 18 deal with grief. A Hospice professional is on call 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week to provide assistance, advice and support to Hospice patients and their families.
