Walking Thorugh Grief Society is a professional hospice and respite care facility located in Kitscoty, Alberta.

Hospice West Parry Sound is an accessible community-based organization of trained volunteersdedicated tothe enhancement of thequality of life forall who are dealing with a life-threatening illness.

The goal of HWPS is to provide palliative care for people of the Parry Sound area. Our community-based non-profit organization currently provides training for volunteers in palliative care in order to provide for the Visiting Hospice Services.Many of ourpalliative clients who face a life-threatening illnesslivein a variety of settings that include private homes the hospital and long-term facilities andbenefit from the emotional social and spiritual support provided. Bereavement support is also offered to family members as they face their loss of a loved one.

Palliative care is about living and giving meaning to ones life its about sharing tears and rejoicing in laughter its about living with dignity and grace its about life not death.
