Here I am- officially diagnosed with MND. It really was not a surprise. An EMG and neuro appt in Feb resulted in a diagnosis of a neuro- degenerative disorder in all 4 limbs. Off for respiratory assessment; MRIs and another EMG. In the interim the weakness in my legs increased, spread to my arms, trunk and neck.
I have had community physio and OT; mobility and bathing aids and good humoured support. Now I have been referred on to specialist team. The beginning of the next phase!
Hubby and adult children are keeping me enjoying the positives and friends have been practical and present. I am grateful!
A Club you don't want to join, but great to have a supportive community. Thank you

I am sorry they didn’t find another answer. Expected as it was I am sure it was a shock

Happy you have good family support and hope you have a strong MND team. In general the UK is better at this but there seem to be some geographical areas that are weaker than others. Be sure to speak up for yourself!

Thank.you! I think I went through the major shock back in February when 1st EMG was reported. From then it has been going through the process of getting a formal diagnosis. Now, our family enters a new phase. I hope the MND team will be knowledgeable, supportive and good communicators.
