Sorry if this is old news, I read some Ibudilast threads on this site but they were all closed. So I started this one.

The new intravenous formulation of ibudilast is expected to be useful for ALS patients who can't take medicine by mouth.

Am I missing something or has this been already dismissed as not viable. Seems positive in the write up. What am I missing?

As of June, COMBAT was still recruiting, which would imply its overall timeline for the trial, which entails a year of dosing, will be pushed back. Will probably see some interim results next year.

Lots of things are positive in early ALS trials, less so in later trials or IRL.

This summarizes results from the earlier trial.

My PALS was in the Combat trial until May of this year. I feel like he has progressed more since coming off of Ibudilast. We may look at buying it directly from Japan. That’s a topic of discussion at our clinic visit in a few weeks.
