Hello, my name is Brocke and I recently turned 23 years old the last 3 weeks have been very strange I randomly had a lot of cramps in my foot/calf area and after a few days of that lost a strength in my big toe with some numbness to it. I’m able to walk normally but I can’t lift my big toe at all. I noticed today that when I stand on my heals I can do it with my left heal but my right one I can’t seem to lift up my foot. Does anyone know if this could be ALS or am I just freaking out for no reason. The only other medical issue I had previously was I had fatty liver disease and I’ve lost 100 pounds sense then. Sometime the numbness comes and goes but still no strength in the foot at all.

I also get some facial twitching sometimes idk if it’s from anxiety or nicotine I use ZYNS

Hey Brocke,

First stop should be a doctor and not heading to a forum for those affected by a terminal disease. You also need to read here: Read Before Posting because it answers your questions. As you've got a medical history that includes a life affecting diagnosis and likely required a change in life habits, your first stop should be a doctor if you have questions. Not sure if your weight loss is dietary or med related, but it can cause all sorts of unexpected side effects.

Please see a doctor for a clinical exam before assuming the worst. Please also read the link provided.

So sorry I’m just super worried about it because my grandpa recently passed away from it so I don’t know if it runs in my family who is the first one who got it and that was about three years ago just very worried and concerned. I’ve never had something like this happened to me before with the fatty liver disease that I mentioned earlier the weight loss was a life change. Basically they told me I had to lose some weight to help out with my fatty liver. I also was thinking I do cross my legs every time I do sit down so if that could cause nerve damage, what not but thank you. I will definitely read the thing you provided.
