So I am 28 year old female and started having twitching widespread January of 2023 and I have noted it been to a neurologist who did an emg and said it was good I did bring up to him my tongue had fasiculations I thought and my left arm was smaller he said my tongue was normal and that everything on our body’s are different. I have seen a therapist as I have chucked it up that I have healthy anxiety I’ve seen her a couple times but she is so hard to get into it has not been consistent. I was doing better not looking at my tongue and worrying but recently looked at my tongue and im scared I have atrophy. I feel as if I’m talking strange I also have had globus sensation and I feel as if I have a scratchy voice went to my gastro and she changed my medicine and it resolved until this week my voice is back scratchy but not choking feeling. My family says my tongue and voice is normal but I can’t shake it. Please help.

I removed your photo but nothing in it looks sinister.

Since all the facts say that you don't have ALS, but you can't shake the fear that you do, the next step is to continue your counseling for health anxiety, which was a great move on your part. If your therapist isn't available enough to make it work, find another one. Maybe she can refer you. There are lots of good ones.

Please continue to work with your PCP and gastro, too. The help is there where you are, not here. And that's a very good thing, that you're in the wrong place.
