    weight loss with ALS/MND

    Hi, Don't know if weight loss is common with ALS however I lost 40lbs pre-diagnosis. Had Cramps and fasciculation (twitches) although had no pain other than the cramps and they go away. Your friend should see a neurologist and then get an emg test. It is not a perfect science but is better...
