  • hello Kelli what you are going through sounds so similar to what my dads going through I am trying to reach out to anyone that thinks they have been misdiagnosed with ALS
Thank you for the words of encouragement. I'm a religious person, but I've never prayed so hard in my life. I just can't fathom what life will be like with out him. Can I ask you a personal question? He has said repeatedly, even before this diagnosis, that he doesn't feel it is anything really bad. He said even now, he believes deep down, they are wrong. Did you experience things like that? I believe in the power on the mind and positive though, so I'm just wondering if you felt that way too? Thanks for everything. I am Kelli Boreson on Facebook or [email protected], if you want to keep up with us. I'm not sure how much you'll be on here, now. Again, congrats and I am so, so thankful that you are not on "that" journey!!
Hey girl...I'm SO glad you are getting a 2nd opinion! I think you do have reason to hope for a different outcome (I read your threads). I'm no expert obviously, but I do know that there are so many things that need to be ruled out...especially with your husbands iffy EMG (I had abnormalities, but not ALS abnormalities). I'm sure you are researching things, as am I. I pulled up the differential diagnoses for ALS and started there. Now I am looking for things that are diagnosed with spinal taps and muscle biopsies. I'm just saying...weakness, balance issues, etc. can be a number of things other than this dreaded ALS. I am so hoping that's what you find out! I'll be checking on you...I'm hopeful for ya'll!! Teresa
