Hi Macerick, I'm wondering how long your arm twitching has been going on? Is it specific spots or all over your tricep / elbow? Ever into your forearm?
I know how it can be! als worries seem to last a LONG time, so I figured you'd still be back checking in every so often xD
my dad is good! i still get unsettled seeing just HOW much his arms twitch, but from various neck and bfs groups, it seems relatively common for middle-aged guys to have...
well as im sure you know, if it was ALS causing the tricep atrophy, your whole upper body would pretty much be useless by now!
i also still worry about my dad but in the same vein, he is pretty much in exactly the same position as he was a year ago. which is good obviously!
keep your head up
@Seanblock @Gabe G have you two had MRIs of your cervical spine?
Doctors tend to say that such issues don't cause twitching.. but the Cervical Radiculopathy & similar Facebook groups tell a different story
Awesome! In the FB group with "support" in the name, search for a video posted by "OG Dee"
Do your tricep twitches look like that? As you may see from my comment on there, its pretty much exactly what my dad has!
Good luck getting through this. Anxiety over this is a tough bug to shake. You could also join the BFS support group on Facebook for more twitching-specific content!
@Bergwijn - he is! This line of thinking may not be your cup of tea.. but at a point.. even if he had ALS, if it is going this slow, then there is at least some silver lining! That said, luckily, neither you nor my dad have any evidence of ALS!
It seems that most doctors official stances are that twitching isnt caused by these various back problems, but from all the reading I've done I can't possibly believe that twitching isnt a common symptom of back problems
