My left leg feels like I had done hundred leg presses with it. Sometimes worse than others, when its cold outside, it get worse. I have twitching everywhere, occasional slurring of conconants. The most weird part is still the night time jerks, I cant find anything about those from google. (Wish one couldnt find anything from als either)

I am young yoo, 29 tomorrow, so bulbar als would be really really rare to get at our age. That is giving me some relief. And my EMG was normal also. My first symptoms when this all started 2022 january were burping, dizzyness, shaking, throat tighness and guess what, anxiety. I start to believe that anxiety can cause a lot bad things in ones body.

Well, I’m really glad you found my post! It’s been a wild ride for me. I went to the Dr. for some leg pain/perceived weakness then came the jaw and swallowing issues after a full blown melt down in the emergency room.

I really am hoping it’s just anxiety, but my jaw spasms A LOT when talking and my teeth started hitting when saying certain sounds, “s” for instance. My jaw looks like it has shifted to the left when speaking. Bizarre.I had a barium esophagram, FEES test yesterday, both normal. I’m surprised with the feeling of food always being stuck after eating. Waiting brain mri results and asking for a bulbar EMG next.

It is comforting to hear that bulbar ALS is rare for our age. My EMG of legs were completely normal. Have they found anything on your end? Hope u begin feeling better soon!

Still in this shitstorm. My face looks really strange, like skull almost. Loose skin also around mouth, chin and cheeks. Last night woke up several times due to left side of body "locking" up, like half body cramp. Still no answers. Next appt. next month.
