MarineChief

Sailed deep sea for 31 years, retired and full-time RV for 8 years, caregiver for wife's Mum 9 years. During caregiving took jobs at VA hospital (USRO maintenance), then as HVAC Supervisor overseeing boiler (steam) production and cooling for a 14 sq mile facility. It was at that time I queried my muscle twitch and small weakness in left arm (July '21). When finally scheduled for nuerologist at years end, and hoping for a pinched nerve, got diagnosis of ALS.
Looking forward to reading others experiences and how life goes onward after diagnosis. Since I dont't have Hawking's mind to keep me "useful" to others I like to see how people cope and not just vegitate and wait out time - I am sure there are many here that live to best of their ability.
Thanks for the forum !!
