Dear all,

Since 1 year Im experiencing constant twiching with so called hot spots in my leg and left thumb, strong Reflexes, etc (last EMG done last year September - clean, but was not done on my left Hand, which is now my biggest concern). I was almost certain those are benign, before I've noticed that something strange is Happening to the muscle between thumb and Index finger on my left Hand. It really scared me. Maybe (hopefully) ist only my Paranoia, but I see athrophy and would be very glad if you lovely People can comment. Im 31 yo with 2 Kids, so ist really scary stuff. Am also adding my right Hand for easier comparision.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

TomHardy, I think mild muscle wasting can be evaluated only in person. The photos just don't show any problem to me. Twitches don't point to ALS--they're common to many conditions. Even healthy people have twitches.

The big deal in ALS is weakness without feeling weak. That is, a muscle that doesn't perform, usually in the hand or foot.

Why did you have an EMG last year? Were they looking for ALS?
