Shortness of Breath Question

Hi Everyone, I was diagnosed with limb onset ALS back in October of 2023. First symptom was stiffness and spasticity in my leg that I first noticed in August of 2023. More recently I've developed shortness of breath with even minimal exertion. Even getting up from the couch and walking a short distance to the kitchen will bring it on. Emptying the dishwasher will leave me short of breath and exhausted etc. I'm curious to know if this is common. With gratitude. Jeremy

Unfortunately yes. Tell your clinic. It sounds like you need pulmonary testing. It seems likely a bipap would help you
