Seagunny. Who knew all that crazy training to live through a war would sadly prepare you to some day fight the ALS dragon. You should keep a journal of your stories and reflections.
 
Funny you should mention that. It seems I am the family genealogist - at least on my side of the family. I have some tales and I am learning bunches about my family. I ran into a Master Chief (retired) who NEVER HEARD nor ever seen how I tied my my navy tie. Then he was stunned to find I retired as a Marine. What was even crazier, was that I served more sea time in the Marines, than I would have as a sailor in the Navy! Even more so, I served aboard more ships that most sailors ever serve on in their entire careers of 20 to 30 years. Life can be strange!
