My feedings are slow due to slow gastric emptying. I have gastroparesis in about 2/3 of my stomach. My ilium is sluggish too. Tried speeding up feedings today from 1.5 hours down to 45 minutes and it went okay, knock on Wood! Finally getting well hydrated again, less headaches and feeling les dry than before. Stoma is healing nicely. The nurse says as my body adjusts, feedings can go lot faster. Glad the surgery is behind me.

Good morning, I have the same tube set up as Diane, only my wife uses the syringe to inject my meds and a few loads of water. I find it very easy and quick, an like Diane says the longer tube is no problem. Good luck, hope you recover soon.

That's great progress and you do have to be careful with gastroparesis. Cutting the feed time down to half is a great thing! You have really made a lot of progress in just a short time!
