To my thinking, a hospice doctor should be well versed in dealing with terminal diseases. They should understand that enormous strain the people dealing with this are under.
They should refresh themselves at least a little bit on the case before walking in the house.
They should NEVER just turn and leave, but should see any imploding by the CALS as a call to give a lot of attention and assistance, listen carefully, and address their needs.
Why else are they in the profession that is all about providing comfort?
