SSDI sounds like a sexually transmitted you catch from being screwed by the government.

Irismarie,

What a horrible experience all the way around! I think we can all relate. ... Your "For my next dance" was as witty as one could hope for. For your next act, perhaps a gasp, and stage whisper that oh no! you've not only forgotten your walking aids, but just now (as you're sprawled on the floor) it seems you've also forgotten your panties... see what that gets you :p

However, as much as I try to see the lighter side for you, it doesn't get me far, because no one should have to have had ANY of the day that you just had.

So sorry for your experiences at the hospital , Irismarie! I can't believe not one person cracked up at your joke! Not one person with a sense of humor? Impossible! Doctors don't like not knowing everything! They must find the answer! Doesn't matter about the person at the other end! Find that attitude prevales among the specialists more than family doctors! Love my one in Manitoba and the one I found in Saskatchewan is a darling. He's from South Africa and looks and sounds like John Cleese! Without the hostility! Sorry you had to get poked so much! At least the doctors were young and cute, right!?

The ugly doctors are the smart ones. They learned more because they had fewer distractions in med school.

ROTFLMAO! Sexually transmitted disease! bwahhhh NO PANTIES! Ugly ones are the smart ones! Love you guys. :]

No, no, the ugly ones are the researchers!

FANTASTIC§!And what does SS remind you of?!;:;,*ù

Irismarie,
, but just now (as you're sprawled on the floor) it seems you've also forgotten your panties...

Oh, Lord, Rose, don't say that! Perhaps I had..........perhaps that's why they were staring:eek:

IrisMarie, That is just terrible the way they treated you , um didnt treat you. Yes, SS stands for those hospital administrators that attended the gestapo training seminars.

Rose, you are cheeky aren't you. PUN intended.

Barry, number three is the truth.

Where do I start. Saw the Doctor at the VA Friday with the following complains:
foot swelling very badly
Toe nails falling off
Cather leaking
Bladder spasms
Spine locking up with pain
Knees hurting very bad even though I cannot move them
Have double vision in right eye
Pressure sores on rear end getting worse
Need better cushion in wheelchair
Bi-pap died and need replacing

He looked me straight in the eye and said 4 times,"And what are YOU doing to help resolve your problems?"
Then had the nerve to say I was too fat and how could I expect to get any of these problems fixed if I did not get serious about losing weight.:twisted::evil:
I explained that should take care of itself since I can no longer lift a spoon to my mouth and I had lost over 26 lbs in past year.
He obviously has no idea about ALS and it's progression. I felt like running over him with my wheelchair.
The main problem with this is he is my VA Doctor and if I say or do the wrong thing he knows he can screw my case up big time.
God complex for real.

GGGGGGGGGGRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. This really really is beginning to make me angry big time. We really should make a dossier of our experiences like this one and send it to some medical journal to print. Or to some university teaching future doctors. But meantime we are stuck with these ignorant, arrogant fools. I and you KNOW our arms are weaker than they were or we cannot speak as clearly as we did. How DARE they make judgments on us?
PS I ran over my own foot with my wheelchair the other day. It HURTS - so go for it!
Wish they would read forums like this - which they would if they were serious about their jobs!
