At the risk of being told to grow a pair, i have to ask about abuse and neglect. My wife/cals has made it clear that she hates taking care of me. I try to ask politely when i need something and i always wait patiently while waiting for her to get to my requesr...or i at least ACT patient. I...

    Drive Medical stand assist lift.

Electric lift with extra battery and sling - eliminates use of hoyer lift [mod note: standing lifts will only work for some PALS] and is 4 months old. Was 10k - willing to sell cheap for patient in need. Dad used this to maintain dignity until last few weeks of disease.

What can anyone share about Hoyer Lifts?

I need one and our primary will order one at which time we will receive training at the VA. My neighbor across the street has been great about running over but I hate to impose on neighbors. Michelle in Texas

    life without a lift

Hello to all. Have any of you tackled the long journey of ALS without a lift? We are surely at the point where a lift would normally be considered and/or necessary, but we are reluctant. I am still able to move my pALS around with transfer boards and a scooter. He has no lower body strength...
