Got my Peg but now Medicare is denying

Does anyone have any tips for me. I have been holding for Medicare for 36 minutes (when it said it would be 20 minutes) so thought I would try checking here. All the claim said was that the procedure may have been denied. no reason though. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. Linda

Well, I have any update now. Medicare finally came on the line and they said it was denied because they were secondary and my other insurance should pay first. My hubby and I spent 3 hours earlier this week trying to make Cigna understand that they are secondary and Medicare understand that they are primary. But I guess that didn't go as well as I had hoped. Now Medicare tells me I have to have my doctor resubmit the bill to them because when they processed it, they had themselves listed as secondary.

Anytime you have commercial insurance along with Medicare, if your employer employees more than 50 employees, then the commercial insurance is primary and Medicare is secondary.
