New ALS Symptom Questions

I know I've been here some the last year. I want to make it known I'm currently getting help with health anxiety. Weekly, sometimes twice a week.

I've had muscle twitching for the last 13 months with some muscle pain. I'm back asking questions because the last 4 weeks I've developed upper back pain on the right and a bit on the left side and a cough. Pretty consistent daily. I've also started having ringing in my ears (tinnitus) the last two weeks every other day or so.

I have seen two neuromuscular specialists these last 13 months. 3 clean EMGs and clinical exams. Last one June 1. But those were all before these new symptoms.

My questions, are back pain, coughs and tinnitus after muscle twitching and pain a pretty typical ALS progression? I know I have health anxiety. I work on it daily and it's hard work. But these new recent symptoms are concerning. I can't find anything on back pain, coughing, or tinnitus though. Thank you in advance for any information.

Possibly a dumb question...

Is it possible for mid to upper right back pain to be one of the first signs of ALS after body wide twitching for a year? No weakness anywhere and clean EMGs, but this 4-6 weeks of pretty bad back pain has me on edge, as if it's the first showing of weakness. Thank you all.

It's likely you can't find anything on back pain, tinnitus and coughing because that's not part of the symptom pattern that is associated with ALS.
