Help with reporting abuse

I was hoping I wouldn't have to come on here unless it was to report good news, but my dad is starting to really scare me. I fear for my mom's safety. Who do I contact to report abuse? What will happen to my dad? What will happen to my mom? He has not been physically abusive, but very verbally abusive.

In my area, we dial 211 to access elderly services, who know about protecting people.

If you need an authority to intervene, the Department of Family Services or the Adult Protective Services have both male and female specialists who are trained to have a chat with an abuser.

If you need a safehouse for a night, the cops know how to contact the Abused Spouses organizations in your area. Call 911.
