I spoke with Dr. Higgins today. He had taken the document I had created and sent it to the executive board that has been assembled to address care needs for als vets and their families.
They were surprised by some things and had heard others. They liked the idea of getting input from pals,cals,and past cals. He said there would be phone conversations and email involved.
If you are interested in participating in this group, please pm me your name,phone number and email address. Dr. Higgins would like to get people from all regions of the country and different facilities. They will use our input to help shape the va centers als programs, use best practices ideas, etc. This group was originally set up as a physician and provider group but he thinks we should be involved. Cant wait to hear from you!!!
