hi all! :)
As I've said in a couple prior posts, I'm new here, and new to ALS forums and discussions in general. It's been such a revelation to me (and at times made me emotional) to read many of your posts - I can relate.
One thing I have never heard of is "tube burping", I saw it in a closed thread as a potential solution for too much gas.
I would appreciate it if someone could explain this for me.
Looking forward to making many great friends here! :)

Flower power,

My understanding about tube burping comes from my experience with my wife's feeding tube.

Occasionally bubbles will surface in the feeding tube syringe from the stomach when the feeding tube clip is released. Some folks do not fill the syringe to the top because these burping bubbles cause liquids to overflow the syringe.

Good way to relieve stoma gas.

My PALS has the PEG button and when I insert the external tube, sometimes I will then use an open syringe before unlock the tube and let gases escape. Then close the tube and begin the normal feeding routine. Guess it could be done at the end as an alternative.
