Hi all
Since my last post my husband has had another consultant appointment & things have moved on slightly from possible PLS - the consultant said that they cannot as yet give him a formal diagnosis but they are "labelling it as PLS". The reason for my post is that my husband has recently been ill with a stomach bug & his GP prescribed him with an antibiotic called Ciprofloxacin - the effect on hubby's spacicity has been amazing - he actually ran for a bus the other day!? He says he feels the best he has in at least a year.
We have been googling antibiotics and neurological conditions & Lyme keeps on coming up. I presumed this would have been ruled out a long time ago but upon looking at his doctors letters I cannot see any reference to it. Does anyone know whether lyme disease is routinely tested for in the uk in situations such as ours?
Many thanks in advance
