but my symptoms haven't gone away they are getting worse or spreading to my face. My nose feels tight on inside and on top of lip (between nose and upper lip) feels tight and my face feels this weird weakness sensation. It seems to twitch alot just by touching it or yawning.

When I drink or eat my lips and face sometimes has this vibrating sensation. I am very scared. My doc told my my arm reflexes were a bit brisk compared to my legs. I don't know what to think anymore. I thought it was pregnancy issue but now I am 2 months postpartum.

I have some weakness in hands and arms (where symptoms started) on and off.

Does weakness come and go? Like it will feel weak and shaky one day but the next day it is fine? I'm not sure what to make of this and waiting to get emg test in two weeks. But right now I am scared.

Tatsu~

Hang in there! All my sx started when I was pregnant with my 3rd. That was 19 months ago. I have been to an als specialist and had many tests. I was told I dont have als per my emg, clinical, muscle biopsy. I had/have all the same as you. I get alot of aching pain in my hands and feet with wrists and ankle. The only advice I can give is go get your emg and take it from there. I felt VERY scared, I had a newborn and 2 young sons to take care (and add in my husband) it was very hard. But, here I am all this way out and still doing ok. Are you seeing a nuero? I have been told by more than one nuero that brisk reflexes can be very common in women. I think they worry about hyperreflexes. give that baby a big hug, I miss my daughter being 2 months!

I am not a doctor. I just see them.

Once you are weak with ALS , you are always weak. No roller coaster.

If I may suggest , those symptoms with your face , and being postpartum , are you suffering from some sort of depression ?
Ask a doctor.

I hope you start to feel better soon, and enjoy your new munchkin.

I'm no doc either but it sure doesn't look anything like ALS to me. I suggest thinking a bit lighter regarding what it may be. As far as your upcoming EMG goes, it is a diagnostic tool that is used to test for a wide variety of illnesses.

You may just have something transient or postpartem.
