I'm concerned I may have ALS. Pls help

For 120 days I have had stiff bilateral calf muscles and bottom of feet when I walk especially when I first get out of bed. I have fasciculations in both calves and occasional twitches in other parts of my body.

For past 30 days my forearms muscles are mildly stiff and my fingers are bit stiff. My shoulders feel weak as well as my legs. No drop foot. When I carry books etc in my arms my shoulders burn. My upper legs feel week now for past two weeks.

My onset in calves was symetrical and is chronic. My upper body has been symetrical in terms of onset. Is this typical for ALS? I was carry a weed sprayer in my yard today and my shoulder was burning. why"

My board certified neurologist examined me physically on july 12 and previously on june 18 and said I do not have any signs of ALS after checking my babinski, Hoffman reflex, my tongue, my leg and arm reflexes all normal. Blood worked show all good except for my crp was 0.97 high and DNA ds was 10.

My question - if my neurologist tested me physically after having leg stiffness for nearly 4 months should I be concerned for ALS or should I have confidence in my doctor's pysical examine.

Many thanks for your concern and insight

My concern is sincere. I am sorry if I offended you. As a single dad of two boys and with this radical change in 4 months I don't know what to do. Kindly. Michael

Twice within a month?
Bet he/she charged you twice too!

Neuro's are not dumbies, I'd say your chances of having this are zero.

Enjoy your kids, it's the best job in the world.

Cheers,

Thx for your reply. I appreciate it. Really do ;)

Michael,
You didn't offend me, but people who live with this daily are telling you your problem is not ALS. You've tried 3 different ways to get someone to give you answers. Most of us are not Dr.s and that's where you should be. You also have two children that need your focus. I understand you have concerns, but this is not the place for you. Please go back to your GP and have him refer you elsewhere so you can get some answers.
Again, not to minimize your concerns, but you're in the wrong

Went to moderator before I was done... You need to go back to your GP and you did not offend.

No, your symptoms are not typical of ALS, as the disease "starts" in one place and moves on from there. If I were you, I would check with a rheumatologist. You may have fibromyalgia, lupus or any number of other rheumatoid ailments that can be treated.

You don't have ALS.

I've been moderated. Go to a rheum a tolo gist. You may have F ibro my al gia, L u pus or any number of rheum a toid ail ments.

You don't have ALS.

Go to the specialists, they are the only ones who can answer, does not sound like A L S to me, Live like crazy till otherwise told different.
