Hi Friends,
I live in Central Illinois and its been extremely hot here. Congratulations Becky! It's great to hear happy news on here. Talked to my dad and he's doing well in Dallas. Anxiously, waiting for his second visit next week with the ALS specialist and to find out the results of some tests. Have a great day everyone. Kim

I love technology! I got to see Amelia today twice. They get to take her home tomorrow. I can't wait hold her and feel her tiny fingers wrap around mine on Friday. Yesterday I went down to our beach with my aid. A new generation of neighborkids and moms were there. What wonderful times my boys had playing in the sand and water! They have to wear swim shoes now because zebra muscles cover the rocks. We sold our boat lat year. I needed my boys to lift me on and off the last time we used it. Doug listed online and it sold the next day. A new family is making memories.

Hooty hoo everybody! Hi Skipper! I just read that they're having record heat up your way. Hope it doesn't last long. I know the humidity is really hard to take in heat like that.

We've had company out the wazoo lately which is fun and delightful! I took a day to just be quiet today and it's been nice. I hope everyone is doing well!

Love to you! ;)

Hi all...hot and humid here too! Had a great vacation in San Diego!

Judy

No humidity in Reno, and it cools down in the 50's at night. High was 89 today, with no wind.

Baby Amelia goes home tomorrow. They wonder how their dog Chewie reacts to her. When they sit on their sofa he climbs up and sits on their laps. We go there. On Fiday. I can't wait to hold her. Hot and humid here today. Thank goodnes we have some rooms air conditioned.

Texas girls are the best! ;)
I lived in Miami for 6 years... aside from the initial shock of rainy season (had never heard of it until I experienced it when we moved there in May 2003 and it freaked me out a bit!), I loved the weather there. We lived in the Redlands, near Homestead, so we were surrounded by ocean on all sides and it the ocean breeze kept the humidity pretty low most of the time. I could be on Key Largo within 20 minutes of leaving my house. I miss the Keys sooooo much! If I had been living down there when I got a divorce, I think I would have just stayed down there instead of coming back to Texas. Life there is just a whole other speed and style!

Hi all, no one here for breakfast today? Summer hours sleeping in late already I guess... So I'm skipping breakfast since it's already noon here.

Love readingi what you're all up to, its pretty hot here today as well, but house is still comfortable on the 1st floor.. Son is going on a canoe trip tonight on the Saco River in Maine... hope he keeps that suntan lotion on him, or won't recognize him when he gets home. He's the image of his dad, french canadian blood... he grew 6" and gained 30 lbs. over the last year, and he's only 12!

Sarah, I went to the Keys over thanksgiving weekend in the 80's with a friend who was living in Miami... loved it down there, but didn't have time to go see the old neighborhood that we lived in... always wished we had stayed there, but my parents definitely wanted to come back up north, and I think the educational system is definitely better up here. The house we lived in blew away the year after we moved!

Good Morning Ya’ll Ladies and a few of us guys

This is Ray from Utah wishing you the best. I am doing better now that it nice outside.
Keep a smile on your face.

Hugs

Hi Ray, nice to meet you here! There's not much on our table today, everyone's too hot apparently... except for Kiwi and Aly, where it's wintertime.

I'm waiting for Di to heal her toes so she'll get her brownies with the questionable ingredients back here... in the meantime, I have some chocolate, strawberry and vanilla ice cream for all... chocolate sauce and cool whip to add on top. Also some almonds, get those good nuts in there! Sorry the ice cream flavors are boring, but I guess the store was all out of the favorite flavors!

Anyone into gardening? I restarted the gardens and birds thread, so go there and add some photos.

Helen.....chocolate, strawberry & vanilla remind me of Neopolitian ice cream....or "3 Way" as my Granny used to call it. I am going to check out the gardens & birds thread

Ray....I looked at your pictures & you have a pic of my favorite bird....Hummingbird. I could (and have) watched them for hours.
