My wife got a call from my daughter's school yesterday.
The principal was saying my daughter approached her about doing some fundraising.

The principal was just calling my wife to inform us, that all the funds collected from their weekly "dress down" days will be donated to the ALS Society of Canada, and wanted us to know she was proud of her.

I couldn't be more proud of my little girl.

To top that off the principal also said that during a staff meeting, the staff unanimously decided that instead of exchanging Christmas gifts with each other, they would instead donate the money they would have spent on each other to the ALS Society of Canada as well.

Kind of renews your believe in mankind.

Cheers,
Casey

That is wonderful! You have everyone reason to be very proud, I know this warms your heart!
My kids did the same thing at their middle school this year and raised $250 for the ALS walk.

Kind of goes back to another post, kids are a lot stronger and better at coping then we give them credit for!

Congratulations on raising an exceptionally good kid.

The ALS experience, including my wife's passing, brought out a whole lot of good things in me, my kids, and our neighbors. It made us better people.

There IS life after ALS--and it can be a very good one.

Great job to your daughter for getting awareness to this ride with Lou.

That is so awesome! Kiss you daughter from all of us!

Nice! It's so good to hear stories like this!
