Hi everyone. I just received this email from MDA.

To: ALS Families

From: ALS Division of the Muscular Dystrophy Association

Date: October 17, 2008
Dear ALS Families,
We'd like to take this opportunity to inform you about an upcoming webcast of the 4th Annual ALS TDI Leadership Summit this Monday, Oct. 20. MDA has made a three-year commitment of $18 million to ALS TDI for drug development in ALS. The research being conducted at ALS TDI is truly groundbreaking. During the webcast you’ll have the opportunity to hear from MDA Board Member and Director of the MDA ALS Center at Methodist Neurological Institute in Houston, Dr. Stan Appel and MDA Vice President of Translational Research Dr. Sharon Hesterlee.

The research at ALS TDI is made possible by funding from MDA’s Augie’s Quest initiative. In January 2007, MDA and Augie’s Quest announced a collaboration with the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI) to apply cutting-edge technologies to ALS drug development. MDA would like to thank all the supporters of MDA’s Augie’s Quest. MDA-funded research projects such as this are possible because of your support.

If you’re interested in signing up for the ALS TDI Leadership Summit webcast, which begins at approximately 1:15PM (EDT) and continues until 5:30PM (EDT), simply follow the link provided below. It’s recommended that you to logon to the webcast before 1:15PM and perform a system check.

You can sign up for the free webcast by clicking here: http://register.webcastgroup.com/event/?wid=0651020084344.
