Hey All -

I didn't know if you knew, and I certainly didn't until reading it on facebook just now. Bluebear/Kari's daughter Michelle is not doing well. I pasted what she posted on facebook below:

My daughter Michelle has been in the hospital since July 4th with stomach/low back pain. Blood transfusions, endoscopies, seizuring, still no diagnosed. Having more exploratory surgery tomorrow. Poor thing had to spend her 21st birthday here! Scary days!

Please keep both Kari and Michelle in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you Missy. Michele is stable. She is not having exploratory surgery that I know of today. She is scheduled for a endoscopy and a colonoscopy to find why she is having so many GI issues. Hold them close and send love and healing thoughts to them. Kari is staying with her in the hospital and not getting much rest these days. love from the Prairie, Kay Marie

Kari,

I really feel for you & your daughter. I hope they find out the cause asap. Try to take care of yourself too! No rest for anyone in a hospital!

Kari, I am here for you if you need to talk! HUGS Lori

Kari, so sorry to hear this. You and your daughter are in my prayers. Take care of yourself, we want you strong and healthy. Diane

Kari, thinking of you and your beautiful daughter. Get well soon Michelle.

Kari, sending you and Michelle loving thoughts and prayers for her healing.

she was eating her first meal since June tonight. Let's hope it stays down. Seeing a specialist about the anemia. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both.

as always you have my love and prayers

Well, this is just so sweet! Thank you Linda for starting this thread! Michelle came out of surgery yesterday and they didnt find anything. So, they think that since it took her 3 gallons of stuff to get her cleared out over several days that it is impacted bowel that caused it all. There is still the issue of the anemia. She has been anemic since she almost died of the Swine flu last year, and they have determined that it is not caused by low iron. So, now we are waiting for a hemotologist to come and do the orders for blood work, but since literally every vein in her body, (including her neck) has collapsed they will have to wait to do the draw. Michelle is feeling great today, better than she has in a long long time. She has probably lost 10 lbs. at least, but now all the toxins are out of her body. It has been a long haul, and the stress has affected my dads ALS progression, so that worries me. Hopefully things will settle down now. Thank you again for all your kindness!
Hugs, Kari

Thanks for the update. I am very happy to hear that things are improving. Now we need to concentrate our prayers on your dad and you!
Of course we will continue praying for your daughter as well.

Thanks for the update Kari. Hope your daughter continues to feel better and better.

Kari, I'm so glad Michelle feels better and hope the anemia can be figured out soon. And of course, hope your father can rest easily and recoup from the stress. Take good care of you!

Michelle is being discharged today.

this is great news
