Fishing with ALS/Adaptive Poles?

Wondering if anyone has ever seen an adaptive fishing pole. Something with a 'power' or 'electric' reel? What about an electric reel that can be controlled by a mouth switch once you can no longer use your hands?

There are such reels available that wind electrically. They are usually associated with deep fishing. Search on Cabellas or BassPro.

I have already started to work out the details. If your pals has use of his/her arms but not hands you can tie a thin rope to the swivel part of the handle and around the wrist and reel by moving back and forth without gripping the handle at all. If any of this interests you but doesn't make since pm me and I will help you.

Ps I'm working on away to velcro the rod to the other arm without hands to hold.
