Tried to use Model talker beta software to start recording my voice, but the mic failed calibration. I am uding a Logitech bluetooth headset. Any suggestions?

Same thing happened to me. I called the company and the had me move the computer into carpeted, quiet room. That worked for me. The person I talked to was very helpful, so give them a call if it still doesn't work. I am using same headset.

My AAC specialist said it wasn't really worth voice banking. Because there is so much to the English language. I start my training on Tuesday for my eye gaze. Wish me luck.

I do wish you luck, Patrick.

However, so many people here have said they wished they had done voice banking that I decided it was worth a try. I certainly have the time to sit around now and say a bunch of nonsense phrases, so there is really no downside to trying.

My speech therapy adviser recommends it, too.

Tried it in another room and it worked. The 3 keys seem to be 1. no outside noises at all 2. Wait about a second between the prompt and your reply and 3. the position of the microphone with respect to your mouth. It must be close b ut to the side or else it wont work. Now I just have to wait for them to get back to me. Not easy when you feel like every day brings new challenges. I used Model talk MTVR.

I have already mentioned a speech programm her in Germany that works. As far as I know Prof Mendel wanted to develop an English version ,too.

Ill take as man y as I can get-if you give me the software and his email address Ill send it to him. Note the beta developers said my voice was breathy and that would affect the quality-well yeah I cant breathe too well
