Is it fair to say that you would notice ALS in one part of your body?

As opposed to saying All my muscles ache & are fatigued, burning, ect?

Would I only be complaining about one part of my body?

Thx!

rayray,

What response are you trying to get from us?

The number of parts of your body that can show ALS symptoms is dependent on what stage of progression the disease has reached. At the beginning it is one weak hand or one dropped foot or slurred speech. As the disease progresses, the weak hand adds a weak wrist, then a weak elbow, and finally a weak shoulder. The dropped foot adds a weak ankle, then a weak knee, and finally a weak hip. The slurred speech becomes more and more garbled until it is completely unintelligible.

By the time an ALS patient shows symptoms throughout his entire body, in most cases, at least one body part will demonstrate clear and substantial disability.

Does that answer your question?

Thank you Joel :-D
