Hey Admins and Members.
It's me again (Hooray.)I have been doing well to stay away from these forums. I ended up seeing my 3rd Neurologist on December 31,2015. She did some strength test, reflexes, eye test, and looked at my tongue at rest. I also brought her a copy of my two previous EMG test. One of the test said, "everything looked normal. had a mild unlar neuropathy?" After the test, she flat out told me "There is no way you have ALS." She told me she was mentored by a leading ALS specialist, Steven Nissen? Have you all heard of him? She said she would see 6-10 ALS patients a day working under him. That made me feel really good, and I left her office feeling on top of the world.
This week I seem to be battling a cold/flu like illness. It was my throat hurting, and my body aches. What concerns me, is my legs. They ache, even at rest, in the muscles. They ached all night, last night. It hurts in the same place, on both legs (outside thigh.) It seems "fatigue" more then normal. I know this may sound stupid to you all, but does this sound like the start of muscle weakness to you?! I guess my only problem is thinking the EMG was done to early or something. I've also been experiencing weakness in my hands. My grip doesn't feel right. I had some difficult opening a water bottle top last week, but have been able too since. I am still able to pick up weights at the gym, and button my shirt. What do you think about everything I have said?
Sorry for returning. I truly am trying to stay away.
